My Journey

The year was 2007, when my journey in the world of IT officially began. With a foundation in business and economics from my high school years at the Business Academy and Faculty of Economics, my hometown’s university, I entered the professional realm with curiosity and determination. My first role as an IT administrator set the stage for what would become a deeply rewarding career.

It all started with Network Attached Storage (NAS) on NetApp servers, an area that immediately captured my fascination. The intricate combination of hardware and software, coupled with the potential for efficient data management, became my playground. I immersed myself in mastering NAS, diving into Linux and Networking as well. Over the next five years, I advanced to the role of a senior NAS expert and lector. Each project I undertook reached a successful conclusion, and I found immense satisfaction in mentoring others, sharing knowledge, and solving complex challenges.

However, my curiosity knew no bounds. I transitioned into the world of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and storage systems, working with IBM SVC and DS storage servers integrated with Brocade switches. The technical challenges were significant, but they only fueled my drive. Over the next four years, I have evolved into a self-reliant team member, capable of independently managing intricate tasks with precision and confidence.

In pursuit of new horizons, I joined the IT team of a pharmaceutical company. This role expanded my skill set beyond the technical realm, exposing me to projects related to hardware procurement, installations, administrative tasks, process optimization, and documentation. It was here that I further refined my ability to combine technical expertise with meticulous organizational skills.

Today, I stand at the intersection of two professional paths. I am currently employed by a global corporation, within the team focusing on backup and recovery technologies—a vital component of modern IT infrastructure. In addition to standard business-as-usual tasks, my manager occasionally calls on me to help with solving challenges. At the same time, I have embraced the freedom of self-employment as an IT consultant, providing tailored solutions to clients who value expertise, reliability, and a personal touch.

Each chapter of my career has been a stepping stone, filled with challenges that shaped my growth and successes that deepened my passion. Technology is a dynamic field, and I remain committed to staying ahead, constantly learning and adapting to its ever-evolving landscape.

This is not just a story of professional milestones; it’s a testament to the curiosity, dedication, and drive that have defined my journey.
